    John Buck has done an enormous job covering the vast history of motion picture editing, going back all the way to the dawn of cinema. He sorts out a lot of interesting rumors and stories fromd decades of filmmaking, and also details dozens of early digital video editing systems that fell by the wayside during the tumultuous 1980s and 1990s. It’s a must-read for anybody seriously interested in the technological history of film & TV.
